Routines Based Interview Learning Series (2024-25)

Session dates: January 22, 2025; January 29, 2025; February 19, 2025

All meetings: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM (You must attend all 3 sessions)

Please join us for this NO COST, virtual mini-training of the Routines Based Interview (RBI) as a tool to help complete both virtual and in-person evaluations Connect with families, and prioritize functional goals and objectives for your students. RBI is an evidenced-informed tool that can be used to complete arena-type initial assessments through a structured interview format with the parents/caregivers.

Participants will:

• learn how to implement RBI to complete evaluations
• learn to dig deeper into the functional needs of students and priorities of families learn about the RBI format and the roles/responsibilities of team members during a structured interview process
• learn about the RBI process and resources to create more meaningful and functional IFSP and IEP goals and preschool outcomes

Presenter:
Jen Kalis is a certified RBI Trainer. Her training includes attending the RBI Institute in Tennessee with the author of the “Routines Based Interview,” Dr. Robin McWilliam. Jen is the Early Childhood 4K Program Coordinator for the La Crosse School District.
