Indicator 3/7 - Child Outcomes

Wisconsin Early Childhood Collaborating Partners provides information about OSEP Indicators #3/7 Child Outcomes.

This indicator responds to the need to demonstrate the effectiveness of early intervention (Part C Indicator #3) & early childhood special education programs (Part B/Section 619 Indicator #7).

PART C INDICATOR #3 (Birth to Age 3)
Percent of preschool children with IFSPs who demonstrate improved:

    1. Positive social-emotional skills (including social relationships);
    2. Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills (including early language/communication;
    3. Use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs.

PART B INDICATOR #7 (Ages 3-5)
Percent of preschool children with IEPs who demonstrate improved:

    1. Positive social-emotional skills (including social relationships);
    2. Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills (including early language/communication and early literacy;
    3. Use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs.
